Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
Overview and Purpose
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager who is an experienced fundraiser who will develop and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for raising money through the direct cultivation of prospects, stewardship of donors and the solicitation of donors. This is a Part-Time Position in our Garden City office working 3 days per week with flexible hours.
Our candidate needs to posses superb interpersonal and communication skills and can build and sustain long-term relationships with prospects, donors, community members and colleagues. This person must be warm, engaging, and a motivational team member.
What You’ll Do
Work in partnership with the Foundation’s senior leadership to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors
Build a pipeline of donors
Coordinate donor appointments
Assist in planning and executing donor cultivation and stewardship activities/events that seek to deepen donors’ commitment to the Foundation
Develop, or identify and engage with, community events from which the proceeds benefit the Foundation (i.e., charity shopping events, auctions)
Accurately update and maintain donor/prospect information and activity in donor database system
Track all interactions with donors/prospects in timely manner; maintain the integrity of the data
Attend and participate in team meetings and other activities as assigned and appropriate
Actively contribute to team by supporting colleagues, collaborating on projects, sharing information, and being a positive force for good
Solicit grants at the direction of Foundation senior leadership
The ideal candidate will possess:
3+ years experience and proven success in fundraising
Strong database of donor contacts preferred
Knowledge of best practices in fundraising
Experience using social media for fundraising – must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new technologies and possess a data-driven, strategic mindset.
Experience writing grant requests
Excellent time management and project management skills
Highly-organized, detail-oriented, strategic, and can project-manage, deliver on multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as an effective team player and to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of and experience with databases
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Salary commensurate with experience
